Ive asked for this many of times already and it goes overlooked because its such a small deal on the wishlist. But can we please have search box in the media explorer???????? I, and many others, have thousands of samples we filter through and a small little search box would allow me the convienience of not opening a second window to search for files. I do alot of drag and drop from the media explorer and its a hassle searching through all those folders. I dont know code or anything but that seems simple enough.

EDIT: Looks like this version has introduced some brand new GUI bugs with the per-item envelopes,time/beats display and the MIDI editor.Lots of bugs in the Preview 7 Bug Thread...I'm adding some more to the list. The GUI speed improvements are minimal (it's still sluggish when a moderately large MIDI-only project is loaded [even without playback]),but the redraws in the arrange view are much less pronounced. Just don't set the UI refresh to 'lazy always' - it's a disaster The MIDI editor still redraws badly when you change options/channel views/type of CC displayed in the CC lane(s). Let's wait for Preview 8.The MIDI editor is unusable right now :(

+ Global automation mode override is a true override, track modes are restored when turning off the override I don't find the behaviour ideal now. I have to deactivate the override first, before I can change the mode on a track. I'd prefer the override to be deactivated automatically in that case. This collides with the trackmode-restore, though... And I'm still longing for an 'automation off' mode which temporarily deactivates the reading of automation for single tracks as well as globally.

csurf in pre

hey, i have noticed that custum compiled versions of reaper_csurf.dll dont registre in reaper pre versions. everything else registre fine, so i guess the source code for csurf dll has been changed. is it to much to ask for a download link to the updated SDK, its just that im creating a costum csurf at the moment and want to use it in the pre versions. thanks in advance, stillwalker
