I get this error when bouncing to disk. I'm running PT 5.3.2 w/ 002 and Powerbook G4 500mhz 2 Lacie d2 120 gig Firewire drives H/W Buffer @ 1024 Cpu @ 85% Dae Buffer @ level 8 25 tracks of Audio - 3 Aux tracks All edits have been Consolidated What Gives?

A couple of things to try- (you can probably find more by searching the DUC) 1. reduce the number of plug ins 2. bounce to a different disk than the session audio is on 3. reduce the buffer- believe it or not that 1024 buffer size does not seem to work the best at all times in these situations good luck

Also... make sure that 'convert after bounce' is selected in the bounce to disk menu, and make sure all plug-in windows are closed. It may also help to have the mixer window closed or hidden - for some reason PTLE still tries to draw fader and plug-in information during a bounce. hiding these windows can give you a little extra CPU resource back.

I would also say defag the hard drive as well. Wiz

Close all plugin windows before bouncing. This fixes it a lot of times.

Close ALL windows! It really affects performance. Just leave the mix or edit window open without any tracks showing.
